Techniques, Training and Practice : 100 Hours
Asana is perception. During our program we will break down each individual Posture/Asana.
For example - Triangle Pose- How the back leg heel, ankle, calf, shin, knee, inner leg, other leg, thigh rotation, hip direction, hand, elbow, front leg; each small part of the bone and muscles work differently in every pose. It’s like a cooking recipe- precise. Learning Asana is a science and art; finding where the pose is actively and passively working the body, the benefits and precautions, and where Bhava/Vibes come from; the pose- calming or uplifting. It's a beautiful combination of modern and yogic science.
Science of breathing - a process of oxygenating the body. We will explore pranayama in different scriptures and books. Ten kinds of prana, nine different kinds of Pranayama, Nadis/energy channel-helping to uplift the prana toward the crown chakra and open sushumna nadi. Open thousands of chambers of the lungs, unlocking energy of the body. Inhaling the life force and exhaling the unnecessary.
Mudra is specific hand gestures. Our body is made of five elements and the Imbalance of different elements causes us disease or sickness. We will practice different mudras as they are the key to good health.
It is a seal/lock in the body. We will learn three bandha, giving direction to prana- energy.
Six Cleansing techniques. Kriyas give a platform for Asana practice. During our training we will practice Jal Neti, Rubber Neti, Kunjal Kriya. It’s a great way to detox the body and bring clarity to the mind
Sound has deep effects on the human psyche. By repeating different energy bond words we can lift our consciousness. We will chant different sacred mantras during our program.
There are hundreds of kinds of meditation techniques. During our program we will do many types of guided meditations and self meditation.
Teaching Methodology and finding your Inner Voice: 25 HRS
Teaching Yoga and Meditation is a beautiful gift in healing yourself and others. We will give you simple, structured, and organized methods for teaching. You will start with a small group of your co-trainees and gradually you will be able to teach an entire yoga class with confidence. We will work as a team to help build your teaching skills. It is a very practical training and in the end you will able to guide students towards peace and tranquility while strengthening your own inner and outer voice.
Communication skills such as group dynamics, time management, and the establishment of priorities and boundaries
How to address the specific needs of individuals and special populations, to the degree possible in a group setting
Principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting

a) Hands on adjustments:
Long time yoga practitioners, beginners, and yoga teachers- we all need self correction and the right knowledge of adjustment in different asana and yogic kriyas. Adjustment is very specific, giving adjustments according to different body structures. It’s an art and comes with a lot of small details. Learning to be professional and effective while respecting the personal space of others.
B) Props use and modification:
Using props and modification is a great help. It is used as a ladder, making progress step by step. It’s important for both the beginner and advanced yogi. Using the right modifications for each individual, making yoga accessible for all age groups and all abilities.
For example - Some students can’t sit on the floor. They can still practice asana, meditation, and pranayama on a chair. For advanced students props are also helpful in taking their practice to the next level.
Ayurveda:- 10 Hours
Ayurveda is system of self healing. It helps people to stay vibrant and free from sickness. Balance your health by understanding your basic constitution or dosha balance.
Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics - 35 Hours
The study of yoga philosophies and traditional texts (such as the Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika or Bhagavad Gita)
Yoga lifestyle, such as the precept of non-violence (ahimsa), and the concepts of dharma and karma
Ethics for yoga teachers, such as those involving teacher – student relationships and community
Understanding the value of teaching yoga as a service and being of service to others (seva)
Anatomy and Physiology - 20Hours
Human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) including energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). Includes both the study of anatomy and physiology along with its application to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc.).
Practicum: 10 Hours
